So you can probably see now my five favorite blogs that I have found. The majority of them are somehow tied into art.
My first blog is...
http://jacquelinegnott.blogspot.com/
I really liked this blog because of the contrast presented when you went to the page. Her artwork was bold, colorful, and vibrant, while the background of the page was black, and subtle. The black background added to the color "pop" of her pictures. It drew your eyes to her actual work, and not to what was in the background. Her page was very easy to navigate with clear links to other pages as well as contact info if you wanted to buy her artwork.
Second Page
http://picxy.blogspot.com/
I liked this blog mostly because of the content, and less because of the design. The creator has all of their artwork folders displayed neatly and clearly on the front page, so they are easy to access. I also liked the graphics on the top of the page and how they designed it.
Third Page
http://rhemdoodles.blogspot.com/I liked this blog a lot because it had fun sketches and drawings on them. The page really catches your eye at first glance because of the graphic design at the top. It is bright, colorful, and filled with "motion". Again the black background which draws attention to the content itself. I really like his artwork because its fun and full of "action" and movement.
Fourth Page
http://www.thatunreliablegirl.com/
This blog was really cool because of the design at the top. I really like the artwork and it looks like it could have been done in photoshop. Her artwork is really cool because she takes them at different angles and adds different effects to make things more of an illusion. She also works with light graffiti which i like a lot. Her page is really easy to navigate because the side-tabs are black and stand out against the white background.
Last Page
http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/
This is probably my favorite out of the rest. I mean, look at the top! Insane, crazy looking doodle creatures are at the top of the page! Her title stands out clearly and boldly, and I like the color choices. Her page is full of made up stories she writes, and the older ones are easily accessible from the side of the page. Her links are bold and visible against the background, and the page is fun, and navigable. I love the content, and I love the design. :]
Enjoyy
Please reread the rubric carefully! You should link to the blogs in your blog post as well as from the sidebar. You can present your favorite blogs to the class on Tuesday.
